Cornut-Chauvinc Ready for NCAA Singles Tournament

TALLAHASSEE – Florida State junior Antoine Cornut-Chauvinc will open the NCAA Men’s Tennis Singles Championship as the No. 7 national seed Monday at 10 a.m. at USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, Florida. 

For Florida State in the 2023 ACC Tournament, Cornut-Chauvinc clinched the first-round victory over No. 64 Clemson with a victory on court one. Previously this season, Cornut-Chauvinc clinched a 4-3 victory over No. 44 Miami after defeating No. 51 Dan Martin in three sets.  

Cornut-Chauvinc led Florida State with 16 dual wins this spring while playing at No. 1. With 11 wins over nationally ranked opponents, Cornut-Chauvinc anchored Florida State’s singles lineup and ascended as high as No. 2 in the national singles rankings, earning the highest singles ranking in program history. 

Cornut-Chauvinc was a unanimous All-ACC first-team selection for singles and earned third-team all-conference honors for doubles alongside Joshua Dous-Karpenschif.  ....

⚾️: Noles Travel to Louisville to Wrap Season

Louisville, Ky. – The Florida State baseball team (21-30) will travel to Louisville (30-22) for a three-game series this weekend at Patterson Stadium. Thursday night’s game will start at 7:00 p.m. with Friday’s game slated for 6:00 p.m. and Saturday’s match-up at 1:00 p.m. Thursday’s game will be streamed live on ACC Network, with Friday and Saturday’s being streamed on ACCNX. Fans in Tallahassee can listen on WFLA 100.7 FM or around the country through TuneIn or the FSU Gameday app.

Softball Puts Six on NFCA All-Region Teams

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Six Florida State softball players were name to the NFCA All-Region teams on Thursday afternoon. Kathryn Sandercock picked up first team honors while Jahni Kerr picked up second team honors. Katie Dack, Michaela Edenfield, Devyn Flaherty and Kaley Mudge were all named to the third team. FSU's six selections were tied for the most in the South Region. Sandercock joins an exclusive club as she is one of just two Florida State athletes to be named First Team All-Region in three consecutive seasons. She joins Julie Larsen who was named First Team All-Region in 1985, 1986 and 1987. Sandercock was terrific this season for the Seminoles as she hold a 23-3 record with a 1.16 ERA while also adding a school record eight saves. Sandercock was a perfect 14-0 in ACC play and has won 16 consecutive decisions. Kerr makes her first appearance on an all-region team after leading the Seminoles with a .391 batting average. Kerr tallied eight home runs and brought home 37 runs wh ....

⚾️: Noles Wrap Home Season in Win vs. Kennesaw State

TALLAHASSEE, Florida – Freshman Titan Kamaka had a career-high five RBI to lead Florida State to a 7-3 victory over Kennesaw State Tuesday night in the home finale at Dick Howser Stadium. Kamaka had a pair of two-run doubles and a sacrifice fly in the first game between the programs.

Freshman Ryan Denison earned his second victory with two scoreless innings, relieving freshman starter Ben Barrett, who allowed one earned run in 4.0 innings. Brennen Oxford and Doug Kirkland pitched the final three innings, with Kirkland earning his fourth save of the year.

After the Owls took a 2-0 lead into the fifth inning, Kamaka plated FSU’s first run with a sacrifice fly, quickly followed by Cam Smith’s game-tying two-out RBI single. In the sixth, James Tibbs and Kamaka hit back-to-back doubles to make the score 5-2, and Kamaka added another two-run double in the bottom of the eighth to secure the victory.

No. 3 Softball Begins NCAA Tournament at Home Against Marist

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The No. 3 Florida State softball team (50-8, 22-2) begins their postseason journey on Friday evening as they will face Marist (29-28) for the first time in program history in the first game of the Tallahassee Regional at 4 p.m. on ESPN+. The second game of the regional will feature South Carolina and UCF at 7 p.m.

The Seminoles will be hosting a regional for the ninth-straight season after putting together their 19th 50+ win season on their way to the ACC Regular Season Championship and the ACC Tournament Championship. The Seminoles are one of the hottest teams in the country as they hold the second-longest active winning streak as they are winners of their last 16. The Seminoles have also won 28 out of their last 30 games.
