Sander returned to his hometown burlington, vermont, last night where he meets with white house staff later today and scheduled to meet with president obama later this morning. Here is what president obama said in an interview with jimmy fallon which is set to air tonight. It was an ultimate thing for the Democratic Party to have a contest primary. I thought that Bernie Sanders brought enormous energy and new ideas. He pushed the party and challenged them. I thought it made hillary a better candidate. My hope is over the next couple of weeks, we are able to pull things together and what happens during primaries, you get a little ouchy. Everybody does.
