Penn State's Jean Paul Allain to lead DOE Fusion Energy Sciences program

Jean Paul Allain, head of the Ken and Mary Alice Lindquist Department of Nuclear Engineering at Penn State, has been appointed associate director for fusion energy sciences within the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Science. Over a two-year term, Allain will serve in a senior executive role to lead the planning, development and administration of research programs in fusion energy science.
