Reporter just playing by her front steps, a child found herself in the cross hairs of danger tuesday evening. On Police Arrival we found a six year old female laying on the sidewalk, she was unresponsive, suffering from a gunshot wound to her left armpit. Which is a very bad spot to be hit by gunfire. About 7 00 last night, a wave of calls came in to 911 reporting a shooting in east germantown. The scene, on the 6300 block of northwood stock street, where a Philadelphia Police count some 21 shots fired, and surmise at least one semiautomatic gun was used.
