Eight officers — correctional and police — have been indicted on charges stemming from the Atlantic County police custody death of 41-year-old Mario Terruso in 2019.
Five Hamilton Township Police Officers were also charged for their conduct in dropping the man off at jail instead of taking him to a hospital for treatment.
A New Jersey grand jury also voted to indict six other officers in connection with the 2019 death of a 41-year-old man.
