while there are candidates trading barbs right now, the former president is dredging up his lies about the 2020 election, handing out these signs. you can see it there. accusing his chief political rival, president biden, of subverting democracy. we have opponents. a lot of opponents. we ve been waging an all-out war in american democracy. you look at what they ve been doing and becoming more and more extreme and repressive. they have just waged an all-out war with each passing day. those accusations come after trump told supporters today, he wants to prosecute the results of the 2020 election and encouraged them, encourage his supporters to go into ballot counting facilities in 2024 to, quote, guard the votes. national correspondent kristin holmes is in cedar rapids. we have to keep pointing out, while they re handing out these signs that says biden attacks democracy, it was trump who tried to overturn the 2020 election results. there is no erasing that fact. rep ....
But can you think of a time when there has been so much focus on individual members of the court, so many personal attacks, sometimes leading to attacks that can be very physical. what s been so frustrating and why you are here from justice alito s they are still demonstrations that happen at many of the justice s houses. that started over a year ago when dobbs was leaked. there were threats. you talk about brett kavanaugh, a man attempted murder. there are serious things that have happened, it is frayed on the nerves of these justices, they didn t get the name of the leaker, that is a huge frustration, frustrating for the conservatives to hear democrats saying we are going to pack the court, find a way for the public to file ethics charges against you. that s part of the legislation being proposed on the hill. a lot of frustrations and justice alito was one of the few who s willing to publicly say what the others are thinking. ....
Going to happen fairly quickly. and you know, now is going to be a potential erupted for a special election and now there s a lot going on behind the scenes. but they are expecting it to happen fairly quickly. the thing is that may have been slowing some of those down was the federal investigation. it s not uncommon for the fbi or the doj to tell the ethics committee to slow down and let us do our part and it could explain why perhaps doj moved some people thought quickly here. what can that happen in parallel? because what happens that they don t want them to interfere with anything in the doj may be doing some of the same witnesses because when you look at the ethics charges, or the complaint on the ethics stuff, it s similar to what the charges the doj just brought. lying, the allegations of lying and financial. stuff financial stuff. all of it is there! they now have that into information even more based on the complaint from the department justice. so it is there for the ....
