On Sunday, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that the coronavirus variant first discovered in the United Kingdom has been found in Westchester County. There are 18 known cases of this variant in New York state. According to evidence and studies from the U.K., this strain of COVID-19 is said to spread from person to person more readily. It is the first reported case of the strain in the Lower Hudson Valley.
