Emergency jobless benefits, a life line for many of americas unemployed, expire today. About 1. 3 Million People who have been out of work for months are finding themselves cut off. The government check they depend on, a little more than 1,000, will not show up in the mail. The benefits program was introduced in 2008 at the height of the recession.
