As India battles its lethal second wave of the coronavirus, reports revealed that the Sultan actor has been providing food packets to the front line workers during the pandemic.
His Being Haangrryy trucks are distributing food in Mumbai’s Juhu and Worli areas.
The actor had done the same last year as well during the lockdown, as was revealed by Rahul Kanal, Yuv Sena leader, who was working with Salman. ....

KARACHI: The rupee remained weak for the third consecutive session on Wednesday, breaching 152-level mark, weighed down by importers’ dollar demand,” dealers said.
The rupee closed at 153.24 against the dollar, 0.16 percent weaker than the previous closing of 152.99 in the interbank market.
In the open market, the rupee ended at 153.60 against the dollar, compared with 153.30 on Tuesday. Dealers said the rupee has been under pressure for the last few days owing to the persistent demand for the greenback from importers for payments. “The rupee will most likely to see slight depreciation in the near-term due to increasing import payments,” a dealer said. ....

WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Oil prices fell for a second day running on Wednesday amid concerns that climbing Covid-19 cases in India and further restrictions to limit the spread will dampen the demand outlook. India is the world s third biggest oil consumer.
Brent crude futures for June settlement fell 91 cents, or 1.4 percent, to 65.66 per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures for June delivery were down 79 cents, or 1.3 percent, at $61.88. The May contract expired on Tuesday down 1.5 percent at $62.44.
India is currently being hit hardest by the pandemic, reporting a record number of infections and deaths. Health ministry data on Wednesday showed a record 2,023 fatalities and 295,000 new cases in 24 hours. ....

KUWAIT CITY Kuwait’s Cabinet on Monday decided to extend the partial curfew until the end of Ramadan, the Kuwait News Agency reported citing a statement from the Cabinet’s media office.
According to the statement, curfew hours from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. will remain unchanged but the decision may be reassessed during the regular review of developments with regard to the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
The curfew was initially scheduled to end in the second week of April and had then been extended for two weeks until April 22. ....

After initially excluding it from the list of attendees, the US has invited Pakistan to President Joe Biden’s Climate Change Conference,

Following Pakistan s initial exclusion from the summit, Prime Minister Imran Khan had responded by saying he was “puzzled at the cacophony .
“[Pakistani] government s environmental policies are driven solely by our commitment to our future generations of a clean and green Pakistan to mitigate the impact of climate change,” explained the PM.
The prime minister had said that this commitment led to initiatives such as Green Pakistan, 10 billion tree tsunami, nature-based solutions, cleaning up our rivers. ....
