SADC gets tough on Mozambique 03 SADC gets tough on Mozambique THE Chairperson of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Co-operation, President Mokgweetsi Masisi of Botswana, said the region is getting tough on the terror in Mozambique and a hard-hitting response will be noticed soon. President Masisi on Wednesday met Presidents Edgar Lungu (Zambia) and Emmerson Mnangagwa (Zimbabwe), and revealed he had also been in touch with Cyril Ramaphosa (South Africa) on the Mozambique issue. After meeting President Mnangagwa he said, “Coming to the regional issues to do with security and peace … as chair of the Organ, and with President Mnangagwa as the outgoing chair and therefore a member of the (Organ) Troika and President Ramaphosa as the incoming chair and a member of the Troika, last night I conferred with President Ramaphosa. I have reported to President Mnangagwa the contests of the discussions with President Ramaphosa, and we have formed views as Troika.
