TV shows still seem to stereotype fathers as inherently ill-suited for parenting. Why haven't they caught up with the expectations of modern fatherhood?

2022 brought in a variety of news stories, ranging from potatoes, to forever chemicals, to the overturning of Roe v. Wade in June. The year brought moments of joy and cheerfulness, but they don't always trend as high as the ones featuring issues like healthcare, book banning and Idaho politics.

Countries and companies are indeed looking to restore forests and other ecosystems to offset carbon output. Nature-based carbon projects protect or restore ecosystems, like a tropical forest in Indonesia, and generate carbon credits based on the emissions avoided or sequestered. Typically, third-party developers put these projects together for implementation by local communities on the ground. It's time, say experts, to make these local communities full partners.
