DIPHU Former Executive Member of District Council (MDC) of erstwhile Karbi Anglong District Council now Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Rangdang Teron passed away on May 31 at Umpanai Hospital following stroke. He was 89 years old. He is survived by his wife and nine daughters. The mortal remains have been brought to his residence at Umbormon Ronghang village in West Karbi Anglong. Late Rangdang Teron was MDC for two terms from Chinthong MAC constituency. As per family sources, Late Rangdang Teron was a school headmaster at Rongjangphong ME School before joining politics. His body will be cremated on Friday at Umborman Ronghang village cremation ground. Our Correspondent Diphu, Nov.14 (EMN): Former Executive Member (EM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Ratan Teron has been appointed as the Chairman of Diphu Development Authority (DDA) by the Department of Housing and Urban Affairs, Govt. of Assam. Teron assumed charge as the Chairman of DDA at his official chamber at the office of Town and Country Planning here on Monday. As the Chairman of DDA, Teron said, “I have been appointed the Chairman of DDA by the Governor of Assam from the department of Housing and Urban Development.
