7月3日傍晚六点多，佛山一年轻男子在三水区北江河堤边遛狗时，宠物狗突然跳入江中，因男子将狗绳的一端绑在手腕上，疑被狗拽入江中后沉入水底。事发后，佛山消防部门紧急赶至现场连夜展开救援，但未见踪影。
“当时有散步的群众见男子落水，扔了救生圈，但没起到作用。”据知情人士透露，北江水深且水急，时常有大货船途经，人一旦落水，很容易被冲走，搜救难度很大。
“家属们痛哭流涕，说男子去年刚学校毕业，来佛山工作不到一年，不会游泳，捞人只能靠老天了，如果找不到的话，要继续在这里找，一直找到为止。”据当时在场的群众称，事发后，附近散步的群众当即报警，随后就陆续来了多部警车和消防车，封锁现场，蛙人下水搜寻了很久，但一直都没找到人。而落水的宠物狗会游泳，很快就游上了岸。
据了解，这只狗大约30斤，平时比较调皮。男子落水时，陪他遛狗的还有一名年轻女子。
时隔三天后，也就是6日，男子的尸体在佛山市南海区西樵镇山根寨边村对出湿地公园对出北江岸边被发现。7月8日，来自佛山市公安局三水分局的消息称，经相关单位勘验，落水男子身体表面未发现伤痕，初步排除他杀，家属对死者死因无异议。

　　在位于佛山市南海区西樵镇的国内首座油氢合建站——中石化佛山樟坑站，每天下午前来加氢的氢燃料电池物流车络绎不绝，工作人员熟练地为车辆加氢，5分钟左右，一辆物流车就可以加满离开。去年底，广东再添佛山河滘、广州开泰北、东莞东发三座油氢合建站，日均加氢量分别达到292公斤、225公斤和300公斤，加上樟坑油氢合建站，日均供应氢气超过1400公斤，覆盖广州、佛山、东莞等多个珠三角地市氢能需求。据统计，目前广东地区氢燃料电池车辆已经突破2400辆，氢能汽车已经成为新能源汽车重要组成部分。
　　3月2日，位于广州开发区的“HTWO广州”动工建设，这是现代汽车集团在华建设的首家大型氢燃料电池系统生产专用工厂，将建成为包含氢燃料电池堆工厂、氢燃料电池系统生产工厂、研发中心和创新中心在内的综合型基地。这个面向未来的氢燃料电池汽车生产基地，从签约到破土动工不到一个月，它将进一步完善广东新能源汽车产业链。
