By Mia Lane Food is Free Solano, is a local resource, which provides free food resources for the less fortunate families and the homeless during the COVID-19 crisis. Heather Pierini, the founder and director of this organization began with just a fruit and vegetable stand with fresh fruit that she grew herself. When she realized so many people were coming to the stand for the fresh fruits and vegetables she decided to enlist her neighbors to help and together they created 13 stands.
