WUSA Wusa 9 News At 7pm September 1, 2014
20 minutes ago. Witnesses tell us the mother was leaving a Grocery Store only about 30 yards away from the crosswalk where she was hit. She was walking back home were told with her child and groceries in hand. Those witnesses describe to us what they saw. I just saw from my point of view saw him crossing through here really fast and i mean i believe he was on the phone probably texting or something. Next thing i saw was the lady screamed and grabbed her child and he slammed into her. Reporter a lot of the folks that weve spoke to have told us this is a pretty dangerous area to be a pedestrian....
