The virginia high school student challenging a policy that said he could not use the bathroom matching his genter identity. the question that was going to be addressed was, can the schools under a federal law under title ix, refuse to let the students matching the genter of their identity? the obama administration said it included gender identity. that was challenged by the school board in this case and the supreme court agreed to hear that later this month. the lower court ruled in his favor and they appealed. today, the supreme court said in light of the trump administration's change in poli...

Discrimination on the basis of sex is basically the same as discrimination on the basis of jnd a gender identity. that was the issue coming to the supreme court. the trump administration rescinded that letter that the appeals court had in part relied on so now it goes back to the appeals court, which i suppose could send it back to the trial court. gavin grim will be long graduated before this issue gets back to the supreme court. it could stay alive. the issue is still a relevant one and there a handful of cases in the lower courts that raise a similar issue. this case is probably coming back...
