When it was first suggested we do a series of features on the Wexford Walking Trails (WWT) I had but one reservation. The weather. The time of year. True, Wexford is lovely at all times of year, hail, rain or shine. But still I remained fearful, not for myself - I'm hardier than I look - but for the trails themselves or, to be more precise, for the people who dedicate their lives to them. How could we show these trails off in the dead of winter? How could we possibly do them justice during the coldest, wettest months of the year?
