On Friday, the newly-minted Raiders captain was returned to the Raiders from the AHL’s Laval Rocket, AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens. Guhle made his professional debut with the Rocket, playing in three games to start the AHL season. The blueliner was selected 16th overall in the 2020 NHL Draft by the Montreal Canadiens, signing his entry-level deal with the club two weeks later. Last season, the Sherwood Park, AB product set career marks with 11 goals and 40 points in 64 games played. He shared the Jim Neilson Award as Most Valuable Defenceman Presented By North Star Signs with Zack Hayes. Earlier this year, Guhle was selected to represent Canada at the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship held in Edmonton. He and Canada took home a silver medal at the event.

Guhle will be available to play in the Laval Rocket game against the Manitoba Moose scheduled on Friday night at the Bell Centre. Guhle, 19, will begin his third season with the Raiders after recently being named the 44th captain in team history. The Canadiens' first-round pick (16th overall) in 2020 made his professional debut this season with the Rocket, suiting up for two games and registering three shots on goal. On the international stage, he helped Team Canada win the silver medal at the 2021 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship, amassing two goals and one assist in seven games.
