The first Shelby County criminal jury trial in more than 13 months was recently called off. Twenty-one-year-old Bryan Felix was accused of robbery and was scheduled to become the first person to go on trial in a state-level criminal court in Shelby County since March 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic led to lockdowns. Court personnel were planning to start the trial Monday before Criminal Court Judge John W.
