WASHINGTON - May 17, 2023 - Today, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the nation's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) civil rights organization, is commemorating International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOBIT) by celebrating the innovative outcomes of the third year of HRC Foundation's Global Small Grants Program, which supported 20 initiatives to advance LGBTQ+ equality in 18 different countries.

David Aruquipa and Guido Montano last week became Bolivia's first gay couple to be legally recognized. The lawyer and businessman were joined in a civil union ceremony December 11, five months after they won their two-year legal battle against the country's civil registry.
