After living in Arizona for five years, Jane Wilkinson and her husband Daren moved back to North Platte to be near family. She volunteers with numerous community organizations.
Dr. Bernie Taylor, M.D., 67, North Platte by: The North Platte Bulletin - May. 11, 2021 Obituaries It is with a heavy heart we share the passing of Dr. Bernie Taylor, M.D. at his home near North Platte, surrounded by family and friends on May 5, 2021 at the age of 67. He was born Nov. 11, 1929 on a farm near Smith Center, Kan. and moved to Falls City as a small child. It was there he met the love of his life, Jane. They were married on Aug. 9, 1953. Dr. Taylor graduated in 1957 from University of Nebraska Medical School. After medical school, he went on to specialize in obstetrics – gynecology and he became the first OB/GYN west of Grand Island. He had a practice in North Platte for over 35 years and delivered many thousands of babies. Bernie had astute diagnostic skills and practiced impeccable ethical and moral standards.
