Two non-governmental organisations, the Transparency International Defence & Security, United Kingdom, and the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC) have commended the seizure of $8.9 million funds siphoned by Nigerian corrupt officials which was meant to procure equipment for the country's military in its fight against Boko Haram. The Royal Court in Jersey, a British Crown Dependency last week ruled that the funds were illicitly obtained by Nigerian officials in 2014.
