Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], February 5 (ANI): The election for Karnataka Legislative Council Chairman will be held on February 9.
According to a bulletin issued by the Karnataka Legislative Council, Governor Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala is pleased to fix Tuesday, February 9, 2021, as the date for the election of Chairman seat under sub-rule (1) of rule 7 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Karnataka Legislative Council.

UDUPI: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa’s one-day trip to this coastal district that started on Monday evening saw him visit four temples in less than 24-hours.
This started with a visit to Udupi Sri Krishna Temple where he dedicated Vishwapatha, a new queue system for devotees to have darshan of Lord Krishna. Later, he participated in Brahmakalashotsava rituals at Sri Venkataramana Temple in Karamballi and performed gau pooja there.
Like at Sri Krishna Temple, Yediyurappa at Karamballi said Karnataka has taken a firm step towards implementing the recent legislation on ‘anti-cow slaughter’ which received nod from the Governor Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala after the government took to the ordinance route for it is yet to receive the nod from the State legislative council. Seven Legislators to take oath at 3.50 pm
Bengaluru: Ending months of suspense over his Cabinet exercise, Chief Minister
B.S. Yediyurappa is all set to expand his one-and-a-half-year-old  BJP Ministry with the inclusion of seven Legislators later this afternoon. 
The swearing-in of the new Ministers will take place at Raj Bhavan in Bengaluru at about 3.50 pm, with Governor Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala administering the oath.
Meanwhile, BJP In-charge of Karnataka Arun Singh arrived in the State capital this morning to be part of the swearing-in ceremony.
The induction of seven Legislators has come as a Sankranti gift for them from the CM, as they are being sworn-in on the festival eve. ....
