For Shrove Tuesday, one restaurant in Detroit is serving up a twist on two local favourites. It's got the wiener, chili, mustard and onions of a Coney dog wrapped in the Polish donut pastry of a Paczki. Grace Keros, of American Coney Island, explains the creation, and some diners give their reviews.
It could mean a more diverse electorate — and, for candidates, learning to eat a different kind of hot dog.
"I don't know what's in these people's heads, they're nuts," said Grace Keros, owner. "They throw a boulder right through here, gets in, comes over here, rips the register out, didn't even unplug it. (They) rip it out of there, and drive off with it."
The restaurant remains open for business while police investigate. A door is being repaired.
