The girls’ basketball senior class at El Dorado qualified for the state tournament for the second straight season under Coach Ashlee Curtis. It was the first time the Lady Wildcats went to back-to-back state tournaments since Stephen Harshaw’s last year and Destinee Rogers’ first season as head coach. Curtis’ senior class was well represented on the 2022-2023 News-Times Girls Basketball All-Area Team. El Dorado’s Lindsey Lockhart, Lauren Nelson and Charalyn Rester joined Parkers Chapel’s Bella Frisby and Kallie Martin on the first team.

SHAWNEE, Okla. - West Side Christian’s Lady Warriors claimed the Heartland Christian Athletic Association 2A State Championship Saturday with a hard-fought 43-36 win over Arkansas Christian Academy. The championship game was held on the campus of Oklahoma Baptist University.

West Side Christian’s senior girls celebrated Senior Night with a 53-39 win over Strong on Thursday. The Lady Warriors improved to 11-9 on the season.

West Side Christian’s girls went 2-0 in the Warrior Classic on Wednesday after a 47-31 victory over Smackover.
