Since leading El Dorado to the 6A girls’ basketball state championship in 2011, Whitney Frazier has gradually progressed up the hoops ladder. She played four years at Louisiana Tech, earning All-Conference USA honors before playing professionally in Iceland and Finland.
The girls’ basketball senior class at El Dorado qualified for the state tournament for the second straight season under Coach Ashlee Curtis. It was the first time the Lady Wildcats went to back-to-back state tournaments since Stephen Harshaw’s last year and Destinee Rogers’ first season as head coach. Curtis’ senior class was well represented on the 2022-2023 News-Times Girls Basketball All-Area Team. El Dorado’s Lindsey Lockhart, Lauren Nelson and Charalyn Rester joined Parkers Chapel’s Bella Frisby and Kallie Martin on the first team.
