Galesburg Register-Mail Shift in suburbs benefited Biden Biden carried better in the suburbs. Based on my readings — suburbia is no longer that white bastion.  More diverse suburbs were the key, but it wasn’t the diversity that held the primary key, it was education.  More diverse and higher education levels swung the suburbs more to Biden and assisted in the key swing states. Also access to more voting via mail-in ballots swung heavy for Biden.
