India s top-four IT companies have reportedly designed a robust hiring plan as they project a strong rebound in the GDP in FY22 after the lockdown lows in FY21. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Wipro, HCL, and Infosys plan to collectively hire at least 91,000 employees from campuses, according to reports.
In the December quarter,  these top-4 IT giants added 36,000 employees against 10,820 in the same quarter in the year-ago period. In September 2020 quarter, these four IT firms hired 17,918 employees. ....

Long-standing outsourcing partnership poised for review at Corrections
Optimation and HCL have been delivering application outsourcing services to Corrections for a decade
The Department of Corrections is poised to go back to the market and potentially disrupt one of the longest-running application outsourcing contracts in government.
Corrections is planning to request registrations of interest in March for services related to its core Integrated Offender Management System (IOMS), for application development, maintenance, and support services.
When the contract was awarded in 2010, its value was reported as $40 million for its initial three-year term with rights to roll this over for two two-year extensions. Then, the contract reportedly included services for IOMS as well as other corporate systems from SAP and Oracle.  ....

I attended the DRYiCE analyst day to look in on the progress of this relatively young part of HCL. Clearly, no moss is growing on their developers as they push a number of products in the marketplace, including an AIOps offering that is growing in popularity and sales, according to Amit Gupta, EVP and Global Head at DRYiCE.
The company has experienced almost 50% year-over-year growth, with DRYiCE Lucy, MyCloud, iAutomate, and iControl rounding out the best-selling products. Currently, Lucy has 2.1 million active users, and over 3,000 use cases, just to look at one of their products. ....

HCL Tech reports 31% jump in Q3 profit at Rs 3,982 cr
IT firm HCL Technologies on Friday reported a net income of Rs 3,982 crore for the quarter ended December 2020, up 26.7 per cent quarter-on-quarter and 31.1 per cent year-on-year.
Its revenue grew 6.4 per cent to Rs 19,302 crore in the quarter under review, from Rs 18,135 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. On a sequential basis, net profit was 26.7 per cent higher from Rs 3,142 crore, while topline was higher by 3.8 per cent from Rs 18,594 crore in September 2020 quarter.
In the third quarter, HCL Technologies recorded revenue growth at 3.5 per cent quarter-on-quarter in constant currency - higher than its estimate of 1.5-2.5 per cent sequential rise. HCL Technologies has revised its sequential revenue growth guidance to 2-3 per cent in constant currency for the fourth quarter.
