The final Get Out the Vax push, a collaborative campaign to promote COVID-19 vaccinations in Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky, is happening this weekend. The goal of the effort, which started in April, was to get 80% of qualifying people to be vaccinated by July 4.

Both Ohio and Kentucky have opened eligibility for people ages 16 and older. But as many people who have already been trying to find appointments will tell you, just because you re eligible for a vaccine doesn t mean you will get one right away. 
More vaccine is coming to Ohio and Kentucky in the next few weeks, but it will still take some time to get enough doses for everyone who wants one. The high demand for a drug in low supply is complicated by the vaccine coming out in multiple streams.
