UKAuthority Cloud – public, private and hybrid – played a huge part in the public sector’s Covid response, as it quickly developed and launched services to support the people most in need. With budgets set to tighten, how will the sector continue its digital transformation journey and what role can cloud play? Cloud services provide a way forward, building and scaling new services at speed while getting the most for taxpayers’ money. To be successful this will need a strong understanding of what the industry can offer, the shifting dynamics of public and private clouds and in-house digital estates, and the regulatory environment. They are also very busy, with many in the public sector under severe pressure to keep things running during lockdown, making them susceptible to mistakes. Cyber criminals see this as an opportunity, and there is plenty of anecdotal evidence that email has been their favoured means of attack over recent months.

What are the key human related errors that are compounding email security risks? How do you recognise and mitigate human error and how do you implement intelligent email security that empowers the public sector front line? On the panel: Simon Clifford, Director of Digital and Data, Police ICT Company
