A 1950 Marcel Breuer home has only been owned by three families of Breuer buffs, and “won’t sell to anyone who’s even remotely thinking about tearing it down.”
“The house is like a gallery and an heirloom that brings the family together,” says architect Cristina Ioana Graff. “They appreciate it so much, and that makes it more special.”
Tina Norden, partner at design and architecture studio Conran and Partners, uses bespoke design narratives to create one-of-a-kind spaces.
The house, known as Geller I, helped Breuer to develop the style that made him a leading postwar architect, historians said. Officials said the current owners followed all local rules.
