Early Monday morning, Sedalia Police initiated a traffic stop on a motor vehicle for expired registration. Upon contact with the driver and occupant, Officers smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was searched and marijuana paraphernalia and two marijuana joints were found. Sunday evening, Sedalia Police performed a traffic stop on a green Ford SUV, as the license plate was expired. The traffic stop took place in the area of West 12th Street and South Osage Avenue. Officers spoke to the driver, and then performed a computer check through Dispatch, where it was learned that he had a felony probation violation warrant from Johnson County on original charges of Tampering With A Motor Vehicle.
