Nothing will grow under the huge solar fields she envisions. Windmills will claim the lives of untold numbers of ospreys, eagles, and the migratory birds that fill Florida’s skies. Each household and business, every traffic light, and every street lamp will require massive battery back-up. A Tesla-size battery back-up costs thousands of dollars, weighs over half a ton, and stores only about half a family’s daily energy use.
