Ian DeRuyter advanced as a Junior Alternate in the Junior Historical Paper category for Nationals. The competition was held virtually this year. This years theme is Communication in History: The Key to Understanding. DeRutyer said his topic was on propaganda during World War II. He titled his paper: Nazi Lies and American Truth: The Influence of Propaganda on World War II. I chose this topic because I saw it on a list of recommended topics and I thought it would be interesting to research, DeRuyter said. ....
