Bharti Airtel's contingent liabilities related to demands from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) have more than doubled between FY18 and FY23. The largest component of these liabilities is the one-time spectrum charge (OTSC) dues. Airtel's OTSC dues to the DoT are estimated at around Rs 15,178 crore, with Rs 8,500 crore provided for and Rs 6,600 crore treated as contingent liabilities.
