U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the El Centro Sector arrested two Yemeni men who were identified on a terrorism watch list.
On January 29 , 2021 agents arrested a man for illegally entering the United States about 3 miles west of Calexico. A background check revealed the 33-year old man from Yemen , was of the FBI s Terrorism Watch List as well as the No-Fly List. 
The second incident occurred on March 30 , 2021 when agents arrested a 26-year old man from Yemen about 2 miles west of Calexico. A background check revealed that the man was also on the FBI s Terrorism Watch List as well as the No-Fly List.  ....

Los Angeles, California - A California man pleaded guilty Monday to perpetrating a scheme to fraudulently obtain approximately $1.8 million in COVID-19 relief guaranteed by the Small Business Administration (SBA) through the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program and the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).
According to court documents, Hassan Kanyike, 29, of Santa Clarita, admitted that he submitted six fraudulent PPP loan applications and two fraudulent EIDL applications. The applications sought funds to purportedly pay the salaries of employees whom he claimed worked for two of his businesses. Kanyike successfully obtained approximately $1 million through four PPP loans, and another $300,000 through two EIDL loans. ....

Orlando, Florida - The Justice Department announced Monday that it has reached a settlement, through a consent decree, with the City of Orlando resolving allegations that the city violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 when it discriminated and retaliated against Dawn Sumter, a female Assistant Fire Chief with the Orlando Fire Department (“Fire Department”).

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - An Israeli national pleaded guilty Wednesday for his role in operating DeepDotWeb (DDW), a website that connected internet users with Darknet marketplaces, where they purchased illegal firearms, malware and hacking tools, stolen financial data, heroin and fentanyl, and other contraband.
According to court documents, Tal Prihar, 37, an Israeli citizen residing in Brazil, owned and operated DDW along with co-defendant Michael Phan, 34, of Israel, beginning in October 2013. In addition to providing general information about the Darknet, DDW provided users with direct links to illegal Darknet marketplaces, which are not accessible through traditional search engines. Atlanta, Georgia - A South Carolina man was arrested on March 30 on Lacey Act and firearms charges. A federal judge in the Middle District of Georgia, unsealed the indictment Thursday.
Ashtyn Michael Rance, 35, of Dalzell, was charged by a federal grand jury in the Middle District of Georgia on March 9 for trafficking vipers and turtles, as well as illegally possessing two firearms.
