Secretary of state katie hobbs told me yesterday that lake has any yet to turn in any evidence of fraud. hint, hint, seems like there s none, right? lake will now face off against hobbs in the general election in november. the victories of election deniers like lake in primaries in arizona and in other battleground states pose a critical threat to our democracy. greg sargent in the washington post writes about the true underlying objective when these republican candidates push that big lie that the election was stolen. they are essentially running on an implicit vow that as long as they are in power, no democratic presidential candidate will ever win their state again. no democratic victory in their state will ever again be treated as legitimate. it s that threat to free and fair elections in this country that the january 6th vice chair and staunch republican liz cheney is determined to defend. how do we stop it if these people get elected? well, i think we have to make ....

Was, is that he is not always, shall we say, candid with them about what he is doing, it s also possible he did something and doesn t remember, it s equally possible that he did something and just doesn t want to tell them. does this speak as well to how much donald trump is paying attention to this testimony and how irritating he finds these hearings? i mean, it s clear that he is irritated by these hearings, that s made explicit by this recent action, that s implicit from his posts on truth social all through these hearings. he is consistently reacting in realtime to these and clearly feeling the pressure from them. in our latest new york times /cnn polling you do see it is taking root with some even republicans who are rethinking their relationship to donald trump. his approval rating among republicans has dipped somewhat, he is he still has a plurality of support relative to other people but you are seeing this take root among some. so there s both an outside perception that t ....
