He is facing one count of kidnapping but there are likely to be other charges. He abducted carlesha freelandgaither a week and a half ago and federal agents arrested him and rescued carlesha a week ago from a supermarket in virginia. Barnes is facing rape and attempted murder charges in virginia for allegedly abducting a 16yearold girl. She was able to escape while he was digging her grave. He will be tried thereafter the federal charges in philadelphia. His Court Appointed lawyer had a few words to say. It was continued to friday for detention hearing as well as a probable cause hearing. Now the federal prosecutors had no comment after the hearing other than to say this is an ongoing investigation.
