In yet another cooling of relations between Kampala and its Western allies, the United States has announced visa restrictions on Ugandan officials who are believed to have undermined the democratic process in the country, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Friday.
“Today I am announcing visa restrictions on those believed to be responsible for, or complicit in, undermining the democratic process in Uganda, including during the country’s January 14 general elections and the campaign period that preceded it,” Mr Blinken said, in a press statement issued by the State Depar ....

In yet another cooling of relations between Kampala and its Western allies, the United States has announced visa restrictions on Ugandan officials who are believed to have undermined the democratic process in the country, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Friday.
