The West Harlem Art Fund will present their new exhibition WE ARE IN REACH on Governors Island in the historic district of Nolan Park. The show is open now through June 25, 2021 for the public. According to Savona Bailey-McClain, Executive Director of the West Harlem Art Fund, The past year allowed the world to reconnect to family, heritage, language and tradition in new ways and to appreciate those times even more. And as we look at human existence, it all began in Africa. WE ARE IN REACH looks at how those of African descent honor memory, philosophy and tradition. ....

Today is International Sculpture Day. It is a worldwide annual celebration of sculpture on the last Saturday of April every year. It was established by the International Sculpture Centre and is meant to raise awareness, appreciation and enjoyment of sculpture in communities across the globe.

Chamarajendra Government College of Visual Arts (CAVA), Mysuru, is creating proficient art students. Anyone with a passion for art and an untamed imagination is welcome here to pursue their varied courses. 
The institute offers a wide range of visual art courses Painting, Sculpture, Graphic Designing, Applied Arts, Photo Journalism and so on. People across the country are being encouraged to visit sculpture in their localities today as part of International Sculpture Day.
The day is a worldwide event designed to help the understanding of sculpture and its contribution to society.
Now that people can travel around their county, there are a number of online resources available to help them appreciate the public art they see.
In the capital, Sculpture Dublin has designed a range of online talks and interviews as well as a sculpture trail to help people in the city learn more about the art they pass every day. ....

Joey Votto isn t the only one making triple plays in Cincinnati. You can knock out three April celebrations in one day at this spring festival at Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park & Museum: Arbor Day, Earth Day and International Sculpture Day. From 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Saturday, visitors can enjoy a full day of art and nature that features a Plein Air painting competition, painting demonstrations, a guided hike, lectures in the Ancient Sculpture Museum, a noon happy hour at the Fretboard Beer Garden, a kids yoga class, a puppet show and all-day free admission to the park and museum. Art Cart rentals, which are a great way to get around the park quickly and easily, are also free (1-hour limit).  ....
