We are the only pedestrian Advocacy Organization in San Francisco making our streets safe for everyone. The organization that really helped pass vision zero in 2014. And the sfpd is part of the vision zero commitment with the goal of 50 percent traffic citations on the top five focus on the five. We received a letter from walk s. F. And they were very concerned about actually the numbers of citations being focused on the focus on five. So she has written us a letter and id like to address have you address some of these issues. One is the drastic drop in citation numbers. Im quoting from the public email that is sent. How is it possible that only 1500 red light tickets were issued, whereas 5,000 infraction tickets were given annually. Citywide violations breaking down, as i mentioned in the previous slide, we had 10,267 foef on the five violations. 1,233 for cellphone violations. A little more for unlicensed drivers. 171 pedestrian offenses, 80 bike offenses. Our total 21,931 violators were cited. Our focus on the five percentages, our department average 41 . You see in quarter two its 10,000. For the Second Quarter there is an increase. I wanted to point out that four of our stations, bayview, northern, richmond, and ingleside exceeded our 50 goal. Theyve resolved through them and checked them. Each scooter has a unique Identification Number that needs to be of a certain size. Also the operators can identify a particular user based on the time and location they get a complaint. Theyve all agreed to a threetier system for user accountability. The first violation for sidewalk riding is a warning. The second violation is a 25 fine. And the third violation is account suspension.
