Library Lines: Portland PDL Staff Page Turners: Page Turners is Portland District Library’s new book club for teens, ages 13-18. Our first book is “The Grief Keeper” by Alexandra Villasante. The book follows Marisol, an immigrant from El Salvador applying for asylum in the United States with her younger sister Gabby. When her asylum request gets turned down, she s given an opportunity to stay in the U.S. The twist is that she has to literally take on the grief of another girl about her age. Join our book club to find out how Marisol’s journey ends. Registration will start on Tuesday, Feb. 23, and is limited to 10 teens. Upon registration, each teen will receive their own copy of the book to keep and a bookmark with program details. We will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 16 and Tuesday, April 13, via Zoom.
