96 cherokee xj 4x4 front brakes are drums?

Just purchased a beautiful 96 cherokee xj 4x4, 6 cyl and a MANUAL 5 speed yahoo
I rolled 2 weeks ago my 98 limited I had since new. Ill start to cry talking about it so..
I have 5 days to get this jeep inspected since it was a title xfer from diff state.
This jeep must if been kept in a garage cus theres literally no rust anywhere including all the spots us xj owners know. It runs super, drives straight as an arrow, no wabbles, vibrations etc..
Only this was is the jeep pulls Slightly to the right when braking. And My emergency brake needed adjustment.

It's got the "shock clunk". So it's (past) time to replace them.
In the forums' opinion, is there a preferred shock for the GC?
It is driven 80% paved roads, 20% very rough dirt roads almost daily. Rural AZ unincorporated "town" (town is overstating things).
