NORTHWEST FLORIDA — COVID-19 vaccinations began in the U.S. on Monday, with health care workers being the first to receive them, according to USA Today. The Northwest Florida Daily News asked its Facebook followers for opinions on whether they will consider taking the vaccine when it’s available to them. The post received more than 300 comments expressing varying opinions and reasoning behind them. Jessica Giordani, a Blue Mountain Beach resident, said she plans to take the vaccine. The international wedding planner’s reasoning, though, is strictly business-related. “I do weddings in Italy all summer,” Giordani said. “I had 12 of ’em this summer that were all canceled or postponed to next year, which is a serious financial pit. It was not good. Ten of them are rescheduled for next summer and it’s going to be required for entry into Europe once it’s distributed. To pay bills, you have to do what you have to do.”
