The category 3 storm is packing 120mileperhour winds, also threatening deadly storm surge. Some areas could get 15 inches of rain. Delta is expected to hit later on today and it is intensifying as it bears down on the gulf coast. Courtney zabowski is in lafayette, louisiana. This storm is expected to hit that area pretty hard. It is still reeling from hurricane laura six weeks ago. How are people preparing, what is going on . Reporter what were hearing from people is not again. Right now it is a category 3 and it could weaken, but at this point, forecasters predicted it would strengthen overnight it did and now it is headed straight for the louisiana coast.
