Jo Allum, Hong Kong My husband John and I have been in Hong Kong for 16 years now and have been planning to move back to the UK since early last year – but it’s far from a linear process now due to the pandemic. When Covid happened, our work prospects in the UK fell through and we ended up having to stay in Hong Kong. In September, John got a job at Staffordshire University so he managed to get out there to start work last year. He came back to Hong Kong after eight weeks so we could all relocate together, with our two young daughters: the moving date was set for December 28.
