Wexford Lions Club bring historic Selskar Augustinian Priory back to life
Neglected for many years, the Selskar Augustinian Priory and its graveyard had become overgrown with weeds, headstones had been broken and the medieval church vandalised. Recognising the historical importance of the site and its significance to the people of Wexford, the local Lions Club took it upon themselves to carry out a major rejuvenation project at the priory, cleaning its surrounds, researching and marking the graves, and becoming the guardians of Selskar.
