60 years after protest, Black swimmers who fought for equality in Baton Rouge are honored with art, history exhibit
"And We Went: 60 Years After The Baton Rouge Swim-In" follows the progress made from a demonstration at the City Park Pool in 1963 when 50 Black people went to a "whites'-only" pool and were arrested. The protest became known as the Baton Rouge Swim-In.
