Beth Shriever claims BMX gold on mixed day for Britain

Scott, who claimed gold in the 4x200m freestyle relay and silver in the individual version earlier this week, powered home after turning in fifth place heading into the final freestyle leg but finished just 0.28 seconds behind China’s Wang Shun.

TOM Ford helped Great Britain to their second rowing medal of this year s Olympics in the early hours of this morning.
The former student of The Grange School in Hartford was part of the men s eight crew that claimed a bronze medal in what was the final event of the regatta in Tokyo.

Scott won the silver medal in the 200m individual medley and Greenbank won the bronze medal in the men s 200m backstroke.
The 24-year-old already had a gold medal from the men s 4x200m freestyle relay and a silver medal in the individual discipline.
He was in fifth place heading into the medley s final 50m on Friday morning, but he found another gear to power into second place, finishing just 0.28 seconds behind Shun Wang of China.
Scott told the BBC: It was always going to be tight, it was always going to be exciting. ....
