record high. good afternoon. i m pat lawson muse. i m eun yang in for jim handly today. more than a thousand americans died from the swine flu. 90 of those just in the last week alone. the death for kids from h1n1 reached 100. public demand for the vaccine means doses are in short fly. tracie potts has the latest. vaccination is our strongest tool. not having enough of it is enormously frustrating to all of us. reporter: 16 million doses of swine flu vaccine are out there already to go. as these lines prove, it s not enough. we are nowhere near where we thought we could be. reporter: the cdc says you can t rush nature. even if you yell at them, they don t grow faster. reporter: manufacturers predictions of how much vaccines they had this month were off 30%. weñr were trying to be as conservative as possible. unfortunately, we didn t learn until early october that their numbers were off. reporter: 90 people died of swine flu last week. it s now wide ....
